Dear readers,

It’s been an extraordinary year for me. As singer, Ronan Keating says, life is a rollercoaster – but throwing yourself off it mid-ride does make things more complicated! As most of you will know by now, I had an accident at the end of 2006 while filming the series Mission Africa, and it has meant I’ve spent the past six months in and out of hospital – not fun at the best of times!

Thankfully, I’m now pretty much back to normal and very excited to be bringing you my first ever magazine!

DIY SOS is back on your screens this summer for its fifteenth series (yes, fifteenth!), and it remains the most popular factual programme on telly – you just can’t get enough of it.

And, yes, obviously you love our banter, but you love watching our room makeovers and transformations too.

This magazine is a must for all DIY enthusiasts, with hints, tips, ideas and inspiration alongside some hilarious insights from my good self.
