Steal Kate Middleton’s style

KateMiddletonWeddingDress

Kate replica dress, £Price on application I-want-that-dress.com

Classic: Elegant and understated, the Duchess of Cambridge wore a fairytale gown fit for a modern princess at April’s Royal Wedding to Prince William. Kate, 29, looked stunning in the fitted top and lace sleeves with a traditional full skirt for a modest yet stunning bridal look.

The Alexander McQueen dress is refined and subtle. To follow Kate’s lead, opt for a simple style without too many frills and embellishments. The shape of the gown and classic cut are the main attraction. The style will flatter a pear-shape figure, drawing attention to a smaller top-half with the lace shoulders and V-neck. Add a simple veil and long train for a traditional finish.

Side tiara, £72, Glitzysecrets.com

Keep jewellery simple and elegant for a classic bridal look. Small pieces with pearls and diamonds will shine demurely in the light. For the ultimate in fairytale princess accessories, a diamond-encrusted tiara is a must to crown the outfit and hold a veil in place.

Steal Abbey Clancy's style

Organza gown, £695, JS collection at House of Fraser

Glamourous: Model and TV presenter Abbey Clancy, 25, carried out her nuptials in June to footballer Peter Crouch wearing a figure-hugging, pearl-white fishtail dress. With bare shoulders and dramatic ruffled skirt flaring from above the knee, Abbey’s style is show-stopping Hollywood elegance.

What’s more, the cut of the dress, with its underwired corset top and hip-skimming skirt, wouldn’t be out of place on the red carpet and it suits her envious curves perfectly.

Abbey opted for a brilliant white gown rather than a warmer ivory. Not all skin tones can carry this off, but the bright dress looks positively resplendent against her golden St Tropez tan.

To emulate this dazzling WAG style, choose a dress that clings to your curves and accents your bust and small waist – if you’re lucky enough to have them. This is a sexy look with all the detail concentrated in the skirt, so don’t be afraid of frills and flowers.

This look can take bold, theatrical jewellery with plenty of glitz. Pearls and diamonds will bring this Oscar-worthy outfit to life. Both classic and modern designs will work, as this look can be up-to-date or old-school glamour.

Steal Kate Moss’ style

Loretta Dress, £495, Anoushka G at House of Fraser

Vintage: British vintage queen and model Kate Moss, 37, chose John Galliano to design the dress for her marriage to musician Jamie Hince in July. The sheer fabric hung from Kate’s slight frame, gathering elegantly at the floor, making her look as though she had stepped out of 1920s bohemian society. The shape and heavy embellishment of this gown will suit long and lean body types.

To be a vintage bride, choose romantic, diaphanous tulle fabrics in golden, ivory hues for a totally ethereal bridal glow.

Rose barrette, £36.50, Eburi.com

Go for antique-look jewellery with an art-deco 1920s design, which will add to the bohemian elegance. Sparkle is a must to amplify the luxurious yet laid-back wedding feel. This is a very feminine option, so jewellery designs with flowers, butterflies and beautiful leaves will work well. Keep colour to a minimum and stick with dulled silvers, gold and bronze to keep the tone of the outfit warm, uncluttered and stylishly time worn.
