What happens abroad, stays abroad? A third of men cheat on stag dos
As the summer finally arrives (albeit not for long), the hordes of stag do and hen do groups make their way abroad across land, sea and sky to enjoy a raucous weekend of sun, sea, and apparently sex according to a new study.
That’s right. Whilst we often heard of hen parties termed as the ‘last fling before the ring’, who knew it was so true? Although, perhaps it’s the stag dos that should be appointed with the phrase, as it’s men that most likely to be unfaithful during a stag weekend found marital affairs website IllicitEncounters.com.
The study revealed that 36% of men admit to having cheated on their wives and girlfriends during a stag do (which means it’s not only the stags themselves up to no good!), of which only 11% is accounted for by the groom-to-be doing the dirty. But what might be surprising to know is that 16% of women admit to cheating whilst on a friend’s hen do.
The usual rules seem to get set aside during these ‘last chance saloon’ events, with the motto ‘what happens abroad, stays abroad’ quite clearly a strong mentality for both male and female parties. So it appears, if a stag or hen do is the pipeline, you better take friends with you that are good at keeping a secret, or two…
