netballCUTWorking out does not have to entail going to the gym, playing on a sports team or running a marathon. There are several activities that combine fun with fitness, and allow people to have a good time while they lose weight.

For those who do not want to get involved in a sport by joining a team, there are many exercise clubs that promote an active lifestyle. Dancing is a popular way of having social interaction while working the body. One recent trend is burlesque classes. This provocative form of dancing is being used by more and more women to stay in shape, as well as to inject their relationships with new life. The movement techniques that are learned in burlesque classes also help the person to learn other workout techniques more easily in the future.

Another popular and fun workout trend is Zumba. The fun in this workout program lies in the fact that it is based quite a bit on music. To be specific, Latin music is used to teach people dance moves that are designed to be easy to follow. For this reason, Zumba is the type of workout that lots of different kinds of people may pick up on. There are many places in the UK where Zumba lessons are available, and clubs have even been known to have Zumba nights. A huge selling point of this type of workout is that it is not difficult to fit into an everyday routine.

There are several ice activities that have been found to have beneficial properties. Skating has been found to be a good cardio workout, as well as a contributing factor to a stable core. Ice hockey provides a more multifaceted workout, since it includes ice skating. Depending on the position being played in ice hockey, the person playing may be enhancing their balance, working their core, or strengthening their upper and lower body. The bonus of hockey is that it is a competitive sport, and the element of competition helps to make the workout itself secondary to the game.

For those who like to get their fitness in while they are unwinding, there are also many bowls clubs around the UK. Bowling is an easy, casual way to get exercise. This is an activity that can be done with any number of friends and companions.

Casual netball clubs have also been growing in popularity around the UK. In fact, they have gotten to the point where nobody has an excuse to not play because they cannot find a club. There are even several mixed leagues, wherein both men and women play, so that couples can join the league together.
