There are many things to be learned about fashion and style from UK television personality Christine Bleakley. Though she can be seen in a wide variety of outfits, there is often a simplicity and elegance to Christine’s attire that is stunning. For this reason, it is worth discussing some of the more pertinent trends in the dress style of Christine Bleakley.
Christine has often said in the past that she loved blue jeans in high school. She has clearly moved on from those days, as she is rarely seen in blue jeans today, and instead can often be seen wearing the likes of Dolce & Gabbana. Bags from this company tend to be one of her favourite items, and it is obvious why, as the bags are fashionable, small and easy to carry.
Christine also favours Dolce & Gabbana dresses, and she has been seen wearing them on the red carpet. Of course, the most famous example of this to date came at the National Movie Awards 2011, where Christine showed up in a bridal style Dolce & Gabbana that turned many heads. When paired with the black Christian Louboutin heels she wore at the awards, this dress is a stunning number. Of course, because she was presenting that evening, Christine had several more dresses to change into.
Long coats have been known to have an elongating effect on the legs, and to give the illusion of height. Christine is not especially short, but she has been known to use this illusion to her benefit. Whether it is a leather coat or a lapel coat, Christine tends to make sure the coat goes down a little below her waist. This heightening effect is enhanced if a short skirt is worn with the outfit instead of pants. A more obvious method of obtaining height is simply to wear large high heels, which is also a tactic that Christine has utilized. The aforementioned Louboutin heels were an example of this.
When it comes to attire for other situations, Christine has been seen out and about with a white Ted Baker Starion dress, which has a beaded neckline. This is not exactly the most casual dress out there, but it is versatile. A full white dress such as this is a good item to have one’s wardrobe, since it well befits a wide variety of social situations.
It has long been a tenet of fashion that black is a slimming colour. Well, if Christine’s goal is to look slimmer, she must believe this principle. There are many black elements to Christine’s wardrobe, from the aforementioned coats to certain types of shoes to pants and dresses. That is not to say that there are not lighter colours in Christine’s repertoire, but black is a colour that she uses to portray elegance. This is a good lesson for those who wish to heighten their sense of fashion, and perhaps take a page from Christine’s book. Even in this modern day and age, some of the classic rules continue to be true.
