Hello from Nicky Hambleton-Jones
Whether you’re one for setting major life goals or not, I always think it’s useful to consider what your focus will be for the rest of the year.
For me, 2008 was a year of change. I pretty much altered everything in my life, from my bank account to rebranding my business. I also made the tough decision to move on from 10 Years Younger so I could explore new avenues. As much as I loved making the show, five years is a long time and it’s important to keep moving and challenging yourself to avoid getting stuck in a rut.
So 2009 is going to be my year of moving on. I have lots of creative ideas I’m now able to explore, and I’m working on some exciting new projects which I’ll be able to tell you more about in the coming months.
But enough about me. Now is the time to think about how you can combat the recession blues and look great – no matter what!
Never underestimate the power of looking good – but don’t assume that has to mean breaking the bank. Just a little extra effort every day will ensure you look a million dollars. During these tough times, it’s more important than ever to portray a positive image if you want to stand out from the crowd and be noticed.
I recently learnt to blow-dry my hair properly, which means I can save on hairdresser fees and, more importantly, my hair looks good every day! Much as we all love a bit of pampering, taking the time to DIY means you’ll save money while always maintaining a polished finish.
