Changing your hair is the one of the quickest ways to give yourself a bit of a makeover and it makes you feel good - plus we love a good old gossip with our hairdresser!  A new study in fashion magazine Grazia has found that the average woman will change her hair a whopping 104 times in her lifetime.

It was found that the top five reasons for hairstyle overhauls were:
  • Simply wanting a change
  • Being ‘bored’ of your looks
  • To boost confidence
  • The end of a relationship
  • To re-invent yourself
The most popular styles were long hair with a fringe, bobs and long layers (we definitely still love the “Rachel” ‘do!). The average woman also tries out three different colours during her lifetime, and 1 in four of you lovely ladies experiment with up to 5 shades. The most popular and sought-after hair colour was dark brown, followed by honey blonde and light brown.

Hairdresser Andrew Collinge who commissioned the study, said: “Women have always used their hair as a way of altering their appearance as it often has the greatest impact visually. My feeling is that women are changing their looks little and often rather than dramatic changes.”
